I highly advise tow hooks properly mounted through frame holes with grade 8 hardware.

improper recovery kills

yup, no shortcut.

a good class3 hitch, or a well designed bumper is what you need.

is there any place in the back of the jeep where you can put the standard 2 hole mounting tow hooks you can get from northern tool?

Like the frame rails in the back where the hitches would mount to? are they threaded?

Best bet is a bumper or a hitch. like it was said before you dont want it giving out on you when you need it.

You will need the tow hook brackets. The 2nd one will do you fine.

Go with a bumper...Do it right the first time... I was stuck bad about 3 weeks ago, tied up to my hitch that was professionally installed and the bolts was bending out where my hitch is attached. I assume from the angle I was getting pulled from but if i had a bumper, would of been way better
