Default Time to tackle my horrible shackle angle.

With my zone 3" lift, my shackle angle is garbage pretty much 90 degrees, bouncy, just rides like a dumptruck, I've got 2 options, either the no lift shackle box from hdoffroad, or the liquid iron sliders, The sliders are cool, but my only concern with them is when I finally get around to putting in my sye I'll probably have to add some shims, which will add to the height, And I don't want to add any. With the shackle boxes I can compensate for that by moving around the shackle to a different hole, but with the sliders there won't be any adjustments, Just hacking up the stock box scares me, because with my luck on stuff, something will happen and the new boxes won't fit or something.

With the folks here that has either or, what's your reviews on them?

I did the HD no lift shackle boxes. Its the correct way to do it. So thats my vote. Just keep in mind, you typically need special shackles to get a full amount of travel. Most shackles will hit the boxes on way or another.

They are kind of a pain to install since you have to cut the old ones out but its not the end of the world. I cut all the spot welds on mine and then removed the bracket as one piece. I have some pictures of the process in my white Jeeps build thread somewhere.

I also have the HD Offroad no lift shackle boxes and like them very much. I do remember install being a slight pain but not too bad.

HD Offroad shackle relocation brackets worked great for me!

I went ahead and ordered the no lift hd shackles, and I'm going to pair it with the iron rock offroad adjustable boomerang shackles, maybe I can get it dialed in back to the height I have now, I could even settle for it to be 1/2" lower.

I wouldn't worry about shims adding much height, thinking too much into it. You'll need shims to set the correct pinion angle when you get an SYE someday. I would test fit the shackles to the relocators before you install them. The HD no lift's are known to sometimes not fit or clear some shackles. Ironman makes a great no lift option too. Sliders seem to get great reviews.

Not only that, the poly bushings they send with the kits squeak. Bad. Even after greasing the crap out of them, I ended up ditching them for some rubber ones. If I was to do it again, I'd piece a kit together and spend a little extra $

Are there any leafs out there that are 3" that are longer before I go to hacking this thing up? Iron rock offroad sells some that they say are longer than stock, but they don't list a measurement.

I have been searching feverishly as well for a definitive answer to this question. I have 2 notes into Rustys and have been digging into OME. OME is like a rabbit hole with their part numbers so one guy says "xxx" gave me a 3" lift, another says, no that one is the heavy duty and gives a 4.5" lift, etc, etc. I plan on calling ARB today and see what they have to say. I was actually just going to start a new thread on the OME rear spring part numbers to see if by chance someone had figured out correct part numbers beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I got OME CS033RB, took the 3rd leaf out and it net me roughtly 2.5 inch lift. Perfectly match OME930 coil. That said I don't think my shackle angle is any better. That said my leaf pack is only 2 months old....

Not good news on shackle angle with those springs. I assume you are stock shackle. How bad are they? Pic?

Your finding is exactly what I am talking about for lift height discrepancy. Supposedly that is a 3" lift by removing the 3rd spring yet you report 2.5". Another poster posted up that he got 4" out of the same spring. Another chart I found put together from another poster listed this spring at 2.75" Medium load which would coincide with your report. Funny thing is, that spring is not even listed in the Dec 2019 ARB catalog, yet I see venders listing them. HA!

How much lift you get out of your OME leafs depends on the type of rig you have as well. I put the ARB CS033RB on my rig, and just with the weight of my truck, the leafs went almost completely flat and gave me little to no lift. I do have a heavier rig, with 37" tires, but the OME leafs are incredibly soft vs other brands. If you want a Cadillac like ride, then the OME leafs are for you! I used them on one wheeling trip and then sold them, since they gave me to little lift as well as since they were so soft I got tons of body roll, which I didn't like. I swapped them out for some Rubicon Express leafs, and they seem to be working well for me now. I know that the RE leafs are longer than the old Zone leafs I had, and Deavers are also longer, so you shouldn't have a terrible shackle angle with those two brands of leafs.

Very anxious to hear how the ride is after the SYE install.

My Jeep rides like $h\t w/ a 3” lift and SYE. Vibrates all to Hell and back @ 35 MPh. I have been told that a SYE will not work with a 3” lift. If I want to keep the SYE, I was told, “Only God can fix that.”

A SYE will not do anything for the ride quality.... And whoever told you it wont work with a 3" lift, go find them and knock some sense into them. If you have vibes, its not cause of the SYE, its most likely the pinion angle being wrong for the SYE.
