Default Throttle bodies?

After researching throttle body spacers ive come to the conclusion that the better way is either machine the stock one or get a new throttle body. Does anyone have the BBK 1742 Power Plus 62mm on their rig? About how much is it to bore your OEM TB? Im looking for max performance characteristics, gas mileage not so important..

"TheXJFiles" on this website bores out throttle bodies. I don't know how much he charges though.

PM him though i'm sure he'd fill you in.

Spacers are a waste of money and don't do anything.

I have the 1724 on my rig and I like it. Much better throttle response and pick up. Definitely notice the difference over the stock 58mm(I think it's 58mm) one. I think it's like $100 + a core to get a stock one bored out.

I was debating between the boring it out and buying aftermarket too. I settled on bbk because shipping crap back and forth is far too much of a hassle and I like fancy new things.

I have a 60mm tb and a tb spacer (got it for free so why not?!) I must say that the throttle response is noticeably increased even more after having the bored tb alone for a year now, though I doubt there were any hp gains from the spacer. But I def wouldn't spend money on a tb spacer.

www.strokedjeep.com sells bored throttle bodies, with the bigger butterflies, on an exchange basis for about $100.
