Talking TDi Swap

So there is a company called HPA motorsports that offer a 1.9 liter TDi swap into a wrangler. They don't offer one for the xjs (yet) and I am just curious what the difference in the swap kits would be. motor mounts would be a little different I am assuming. but bellhousing adapter, and wiring? could I buy this kit for a wrangler and make it work in my Cherokee with little or no modifications. the idiots at the company wouldn't give me an answer so ill ask the intelligent folk here on CF

I looked into this about a year ago. Im surprised they still haven't came out with the kit. Im sure it would work with minor modifications.

how is it not worthwhile? the motors weigh half as much as a 4bt cummins. they put out close to the same amount of hp as a 4.0 and alot more torque and estimated fuel mileage of 25+. plus diesels are just freaking awesome

Just get a 4BT and a NV 4500 and stiffen the unibody 4BTs are simple and alot less sensors then a TDI and make more power

with a 4bt i would have to get a new tranny, transfer case, and both front and rear axles. as well as stiffing the body. id rather deal with wiring than all that
