Yup that's
What I did.
T case drop will work but the hnt/sye is better.
I ran a drop for a few years at 3" then I lifted a little more and got 33" I was too nervous to do a hnt and found a 231 with a sye for 200 on craigslist. Then I helped my buddy do one on his 242 and it was acually really easy. Just need a cut off wheel and a good drill bit

I ran a drop and a 2.5* shim on my '88 with about 5" of lift and thought it was fine until I installed the SYE. It was a lot smoother after the install. One thing to check if you are having vibration issues is the drivers side motor mount. If you have never changed the mounts, odds are at least the drivers side one is bad.

After my 3 link install this weekend I have vibrations at idol, that increase with RPMs..you cant feel or hear the vibes anywhere but inside the cab, the engine still sounds smooth as ever from under teh hood. I was thinking motor mounts or tranny mount but idk.

Only thing that changed through install was going from a stock x member with a 1" drop to a new xmember with no drop...
