SYE installed removed TC Drop and have ??'s
Hey guys as the title states. I just installed an AA SYE kit and got a new driveline made. Of course I removed my TC drop kit and now my exhaust pipe is rubbing/resting on the Trans crossmember. I attribute this to a couple of things.
1. Moving the cross member up/down has completely elongated and the rubber exhaust hanger bushing that supports the pipe over the crossmember.
2. My motor mounts are in need of replacement so I'm gonna go ahead and order the parts, along with a new trans mount..
Do you all have any other suggestions? Besides hitting my exhaust pipe with a BFH? or Heating it and denting it for clearance... The pipe didn't rub last year before I installed the TC drop kit.
Also does anybody know the part number for that little rubber insulator/ exhaust hanger bushing in the trans cross member? The closest thing I have found is on the Rock Auto web site here: http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,cata...DEA_A5208.html
Just wanna make sure I've got the right part.
BTW: My XJ is a 98' w/Manual Trans 230K + Miles

Sounds like you are on the right track. The only advise I'd give is to be careful using that BFH on the exhaust that close to the manifold. It's the only thing resisting those hits and well... they've been known to crack quite easily. Trust me when I say, you do not what to replace that puppy. They're a ***** to get to.

Fixed replaced motor mounts and trans mount. Trans mount was pretty compressed. Drivers side motor mount was broke. Hopefully I'm good for another 100K miles!
