Default SYE Install???

Just finished installing SYE on a NP242, and went out for a test drive. I can hear a whining noise at about 40mph and the transfer case will not engauge in 4x4 full time. part time will engage in low and high. does any one have any ideas!? Im thinking maybe that oil pump?

Not sure what Hnt stands for. .I pulled the whole case apart and installed the new output shaft and housing. I have never taken one apart before but it all went back together with nothing left over...

Uh oh....

You sure you have a 242? Check the tag on the transfer.

Advance Adapters doesn't make a SYE for the 242 only the 231. Think we may have found your problem.

Was the group buy specifically for the Advance Adapters SYE? If thats the case your the one who made the mistake by ordering it for an application that it wouldnt work for.

Not saying thats the case.. but think it through before you call them with hostility. The customer is not always right..

I'll ask again, any pics of the box? Link to the group buy etc?
