I did a 3" zone on my 2000 and had vibrations, they were slight but got worse under load, it was bearable, but I knew in time it would eat up u joints. I put in a SYE, and now no vibrations as all - smooth as butter!

ya just don't know ya need it till ya need it...

If you have a 2 door I'm willing to bet you'll need it. 4 doors are hit or miss.

4 guys with XJ's at the shop I go to, none needed sye kit, till my ol bad luck XJ rolls up in there LOL. I had vibes so bad it felt like those massage chairs at the mall.

3" RC and I really should get a sye.. Or I can just leave all the camping gear in and I'm good.

Thanks guys . I guess I should've made it a poll type thread but we wanted a little feedback also. He has a 2001 and we were wondering the possibility of running into an issue after the lift. It sure would be nice if they would've made these rear fender openings like a pickup so we could cut as much as we liked .lol

You can shim the rear so it's parallel.
Shim to turn the pinion up or down depending on your needs.

When I lifted my 98 3" I had vibes at 30 mph and it ended up being a tcase drop and 2* shims that fixed them. Do sometimes wish I did the sye though
