Default swing out tire carrier designs

Who has some swing out tire carrier designs? looking to have one fab'd but I have no idea where to start. I designed one myself but after mocking it up with 2x4s it isn't going to work the way I wanted.

There are a couple different ones at quadratec with aftermarket bumpers for about $700-800. Possibly could make one yourself if you had a welder and some .250 wall square steel tube and some other small hardware for less.

Tons, do some googling and you will find a lot. There are probably 10+ on the market currently
Google "XJ Rear Tire Carrier Bumper"

Hansons is one of my favorites. AJ's is also really nice and higher clearance than most. Dirtbound and JCR are also extremely popular (and they both sell DIY pre-cut kits for their bumpers)

There are also tons of CAD designs of XJ bumpers you could use to fab your own or have a shop fab for you. Like this;
https://flatland4x4.com/product/84-0...-tire-carrier/

Mostly comes down to style and if you are going to build it yourself or not....

I went with the Flatland plans. The front went together great, but the rear was a ****show. Biggest thing is that although he advertises it as fitting all XJs, it does NOT fit 84-96 as it is designed; it hits the tail lights, and the angles don't line up at all.

He's said he is going to fix that, but he hasn't yet.
