you're not hurting anything by running a sway bar. just keep it if it makes you more comfortable when driving. all were saying is that you are blaming death wobble on the wrong component
If I didn't have to run the type of roads I do I'd leave my sway bar on. W/o it the ride is just that much better though.
Since removing mine I've NEVER had the slightest hint of d/w. Only slight body tilt from side to side except when towing a heavy load. Then it's BAD.

I drove my jeep about 100 miles without swaybars through mojave California, little hills and pot holes everywhere. I noticed my jeep was tracking worse than it was with sway bars. I personally wouldn't recommend driving without the front sway bar, ditch the rear and make something pretty out off it. I've got some adjustable discos in the works, because sitting on your *** in the dirt with a wrench and a ratchet sucks. But its worth It if I know ill be safe avoiding the highway mattresses.

ok here is a really good answer to evryone and it will work no matter which way you try it. if you want to see how your vehicle performs without sway bars remove them if you feel comfortable driving without them then leave them off if it in any way scares or makes you feel un comfortable then put them back on and if you do a lift and decide to keep them then either make or buy your connectors.
it all comes down to what your personal feelings are and how you want your ride consider it just like an air freshener some like some flavors when others don't.

Yes the body roll is greater, if I whip it around a turn now... the back tire will loosen up. I do have some high speed sway but I think that might be other parts. However I try not to run over 65 because I wont want to work the tranny to much with all the hills here. From a numbers perspective, I can see how it is less safe with now swaybar. But in reality, I know it disconnected and drive it accordingly... not like Vette.

Just my 2 cents
Also I love running **** over

I just read the whole thread, and I've been considering removing the front altogether...this just helped to push me in that direction more. I rarely hit the highway, and if I do I run at a maximum 110km/h....other than that it's all city. Not only that but I don't pull any real weight at all. I think the sway bar has to go the way of the rear one.... Lol

I can tell a big difference between having mine connected and disconnected. I use my XJ to carry my family, and despite what anyone wants to say it handles MUCH better with them connected. In the event of an emergency maneuver if your disconnected the transfer of weight from being disconnected could lead to a pretty grizzly scene. All that said I drove around for weeks with them disconnected and after you get used to it you learn to take the turns.
If you spend most your time on city roads/off road and below 50mph then I say just pull them, but I drive 100 miles a day at 75MPH carrying my two little girls....I'm going to take every measure possible to insure their safety.

I run Addco HD front sway bar and JKS quick discos and stock rear sway bar. Street handling with RC 4.5" lift and 32" MTR is quite respectable, surprisingly well, and I undo the discos and the offroad is great.
I am looking for a stock rear sway bar and all the mounting hardware if anyone is selling.

I really wouldn't take front sway bar off on a street vehicle. I had mine off for a week after I did my lift while waiting for adj discos and started to get death wobble past 45mph. Its just going to wear your suspension faster and is unsafe period.
got the adj discos and new bushing and I can corner at 70mph ;P
I just got cheap rough countrys they were $60 on ebay, workin fine.
