Not true. But I'm not going to start this argument that never ends in any sort of agreement.

If I was going to have a DD and commuter rig I'd go with JKS. I've installed a few kits though sometimes trimming is required to the threaded rod.
But they are beef and have grease fittings for long levity.

They even come with a really cool JKS sticker..

Couldn't agree more. But if it's strictly a toy and you have a short drive to the trails that doesn't require you to hop on the highway, I'd say go ahead and remove them. But if it's a DD, keep your front sway bar on. For safety's sake. Go ahead and remove the rear, that'd be the first thing I'd do if I were to buy a new XJ.

Have not had my front sway bar on for three years. Mostly two lane highways,55-60 mph. No problems. Jumped on the Interstate yesterday 65-70mph and the front end felt "floaty", for lack of a better word. Everything is good on my front end, think I will try a sway bar. With disconnects.

I don't want to open this argument either, especially since I have not been running either sway bar. A. I know how to drive.B my front end is set up right. C. When the 17 year old blew through the stop sign and took both lanes of the road, A and B didn't really mean much.lol

this has been true for me. I never ran sway bars. I also completely rebuilt the front axle. every replaceable part is brand new and it's nice and snug. I have buddies with similar setups to mine and I've found that the biggest difference is shocks. those with white bodies have a lot more body roll where I can take turns at 30mph and be fine. 150 miles to the last trail I went to and it was through the mountains. sway bars never even crossed my mind

but knowing how to drive has nothing to do with it IMO. if you feel more comfortable with a sway bar, run a sway bar. plain and simple
