nope i have a xj with a blown motor everything else good and i just picked up an xj with wrecked front end the only thing that looks bad is rad upper rad support and passenger inner fender. it starts and runs and drives with no vibrations so i think everything else is fine

front clip is waaaay easier then swapping a motor. i swapped a front clip on a 98 in about an hour. as long as your fenders and upper cross member are all good then it should be pretty easy.
edit, didn't read. even with the fender damage i would probably try and fix it before swapping a motor. but i think i would need to see it to decide.
