Default Swap rustys steering for ZJ?

Hi all, new to the forum just posted an introduction.

91 XJ, around 5" of lift.
I replaced the TRE's on the rustys steering setup before reading others accounts of how sloppy it is.

I plan to drive this on the street but not DD. Would a beefier ZJ steering setup yield good results. I know there are better options, but not at junkyard prices.
Any input is appreciated.

Welcome. A lot have had good luck with the JCR or Serious Offroad kits.

I have a 99 XJ and at 4 1/2" of lift running 33 and 35" tires (not a rock crawler) I still am using a ZJ steering setup. A lot depends on your tire size and use and budget as to what you run.

The new style uses MOOG, not sure about the older style.

Give me a minute to walk out to my shop, I have the part number to cross reference.
It uses two different ones, ES140R and ES62L by MOOG.

the zj is a good choice, even better if you flip the drivers side tre to the top of the knuckle. but you may have to raise up the sway bar link mounts, but you get way better ground clearance on the tie rod.
