supporting tranny with jack for tcase removal
where exactly (if theres an exact spot) should i place the jack to support the tranny in order to remove the transfercase for an SYE install. there is a metal pan (looks thin) looking thing that im not sure would take the weight of the tranny once the crossmember is removed. is there a specific place to put jack?

yeah i know, im trying to go with the easiest route and i have read that the SYE install is much easier with the tcase removed.. i dont have a fancy garage with a car lift or anything so i would be working under the rig with nothin but a couple jacks lifting it up

That's how I did mine. Granted, my jeep's lift helped give me room to work, but I was on a creeper and it wasn't bad at all. Of course, now I'm sure there will be a barrage of people telling you shortly that you need to take the TC out to do the job more easily. Do whatever you're comfortable with. I'm just here giving my opinion/experience and the job went quick and smooth on my back... the way daddy likes it.
