Stroker Kits
Hey CF Members! I just picked up a 4.0 outta a YJ for $200. I want to tear it down, clean it up and build it into a 4.6/4.7 Stroker. Any advice on the best kits out there on the market? Money isn't really gonna be an issue since it'll probably be over the course of a year or so... But, I want the best, strongest parts that'll last the longest and produce the most torque and power. Thanks & KCCO!

Jeepstrokers.com all the info u need. It can be done with oem parts, no need to spend money on a high dollar kit....unless that's what you want to do

The 4.0 "Stroker" is not worth putting high dollar (Forged Parts) into unless your going to use NOS on it or a blower.
Good Mopar parts are all that are needed for a stroker 4.7 and that's what the majority of them are. The reason being Cost=HP=Durability make that combo of parts a winner for 95% of the users.

Thats why I said there good if you ever plan on running boost. And Im local to them, I've gone down and talked to them about there parts and wait times and almost bit the bullet and a turbo 4.7 but my jeep would've been out of commission for too long

One question why turbo a little 4.0 Jeep motor?
I run a twin turbo SBC (Dart block and heads) 381ci. 1820 HP maxed at 26# boost and 1540 HP @ 19 psi but its in a race car. Turbo engines are easier on internal parts than NOS or blown and the 4.0 doesn't make enough HP or RPM's to warrant the forged internals.

If Im running any type of boost in an motor, I want forged for the the security and ease of mind. Ill be build a vr6 turbo corrado soon and you better believe itll be full forged, I know a couple people that have ran it on stock internals, but if you really wanna make some power you need the stronger parts.
