I have this eBay winch bumper that unfortunately mounts to the factory bumper points on the uniframe. What is out there that I can use to
strengthen that area? My XJ is a daily and may go off road a couple times a year. So winching may occur once in a blue moon. I don't want to jack up my factory bracket location when winching or being winched out of a spot. Anyone make a bracket for these things that are better? I know there are better options out there. For my budget, this was the best I could do. Thx in advance. (Pic is of the stock bracket for reference)
the XJ with the factory alloy front bar have a massively strong mounting bracket arrangement, much stronger than those for the regular straight bar
I intend to mount a winch i just bought by using those mount brackets of my spare Jeep, so you could probably get them of a wreck, but its an effort to swap them over
I will almost certainly swap the alloy bar as well
one of our Aussie members did this with his original factory alloy bar, looks good
