This u joint, I grabbed it and just shook it and I got a 1/16 of a inch movement back and fourth, and same in and out.
On the other side I got about a 1/24 inch of movement back and fourth, and none in and out.....
Could it be this u joint? It's not the shocks. I know its not track bar I made sure it's all right.... It's not the coils, I messed with 4wd u joint, the whole drive shaft turns about a inch each way but the u joint didn't really have any movement or play.

The joint in the driveshaft might be iffy. My driveshaft only spins ~1/4" or so, definitely less than a half inch either way. Was it popping while driving normally or going over bumps, rocks, etc? You said it was your first time with the "sway bars off". Do you mean you disconnected the sway bar links, or actually removed the whole sway bar?

Those axle u joints are probably good. I dont even tend to start worrying about mine until they have 1/4" or so of play...if I replaced them everytime I had 1/16-1/24 of play I'd be buying them every other week

I have a popping noise after wheeling. I have the same track bar and I have found out that the bolts on the mount need tightened and it stops the noise. They barely turn at all but just the small amount makes the noise go away. I am sure you have tried but figured I would let you know.
Why don't you listen to what people have been saying. What your describing sounds a lot like a popping noise I had. Looks like you have fixed lower control arms, same as me. The lower control arm (to the frame) bolt had backed out just a tid. I tightened it back up and boom, no more popping. It was no more than a half turn of the bolt but made all the difference in the world.
I had been looking at my steering linkages too and actually ended up replacing some to no avail. I was doing an oil change the other day and noticed a lot of rust/dust around the control arm mount on the passenger side. Give that a look. Although I find it mind boggling that someone that drives a lifted jeep and wants to work on it doesn't even know what a control arm is, and, when given the advice of more experienced Jeepers continues to ignore it and examine the same thing over and over again.

I had a mystery popping noise while wheeling, didn't even have to turn the steering wheel for it to pop, flexing and side billing would make it pop. It sounded horrible and scared the wife. It was the track bar built at the axle side.

I did find my steering squeak it is coming from the steering stabilizer bracket on passenger side! It's like the bracket is bending back and fourth slightly as I turn the wheel !!!!
