Default Diff fluid from both sides of d30 hp

Ok so i have diff fluid comming from both sides of of my d30, i recently put an aussie locker in it and a solid diff cover. I filled it to the fill hole of the cover and since doing so i have noticed quit a bit of diff fluid comming out of both sides of the axle. My question is (im hopping not to have to tear it all down again to do the axle seals) i read that filling the diff with the solid diff cover all the way to the hole would be over filling ........is this true? Anybody have the same experiance ? ......this is a long shot and i have a fealing im gonna have to do axle seals but dont want to if not necessary i know i know.....i should have done them while i had it apart...........

So on the left and right sides like where the knuckles are or from the pinion seal and diff cover?

Yes on the axle ends right next to the knuckles on both sides of the axle not the diff cover

overfilling would make fluid come out the breather, not force it out the axle seals

leaking from the tubes means leaking axle seals

Axle seals. If you pulled the shafts then you probably moved the seals. Thats what I did and had to do axle seals.

Even new seals can be damaged or get crud in them if axle shafts are not installed correctly. Do not let shaft touch tube when installing, keep it centered when seal is reached.
Also look in tubes for accumulated debris, they can get packed with mud/silt which can be pushed into seal or pumpkin.

Hole is way too high. the diff should be filled with the recommended amount of oil regardless of the fill plug height. They will often put the plug high on Am covers for a couple reasons. 1: so that even when running a steep pinion angle there is enough room to fill with the proper amount of fluid. 2: so that the plug does not get bashed up while wheeling as the lower half of the cover will see some abuse.

JMHO but I think its both the seals and being overfilled. On my covers I fill them till I stick my finger in and down till I touch the gear oil, not the top.

I think the fill hole is higher beacause of many people changing the pinion angle so the company moves the fill hole higher. Unless your pinion angle higher than stock than I wouldn't fill it all the way.

Also check your vent hose. Make sure it is clear of debris and you can blow through it easily.
