Default steering stabilizers

I always called them dampeners but anyways mine's just not what it use to be after 50k+ miles. Looking for one that is on the "stiffer" side.

I can never tell much difference from one to the other. The RC one I bought on Amazon has a lot thicker shaft than OEM, but I doubt it is any better. It was cheap enough.

I can't say it's on the stiffer side, but here it is for what it's worth. It comes without the ugly decal attached, BTW:

From what I've read while searching it sounds like your right. Not much difference in the feel if any but like a lot of things quality varies and of course costs more.

I went with a Bilstein 5100 for mine. Mostly just to match the other shocks. It is a gas filled shock instead of the normal oil ones. Does it make a difference? I dont know but it works for me.

So which stabilizer did you go with ? I'm getting ready to do mine. I was just thinking Moog or OEM ? I was also wondering if there were any other OEM upgrade replacements from other jeeps ? Were you able to replace the bump stop in the coil w/o removing the spring ?

I don't see the point in spending money on a stabilizer especially one that's more than a stock one at any advance auto.

Precisely the point !!! I don't either. Here's what I have found out: Mopar OEM part #68053860AA fits all of these, 97-06 Wrangler TJ / 04-06 Wrangler Unlimited TJL / 87-95 Wrangler YJ / 84-01 Cherokee XJ / 93-98 Grand Cherokee ZJ and 86-92 Comanche MJ !!! The part new retails for $119+. I'd say it will be easy to find one less than any auto parts store.

Actually I disconnected mine and worked it. It's fine. It's a KYB.
