Default anybody know anything about coil spring stabilizers?

i ordered what i thought was a set of spacers to add two inches of lift to my Cherokee. but i got these "stabilizers" that i guess add to the height, they are like spacers but can open like a "C" it either goes on the bottom of the coil or it can also be twisted in the coil (which i don't know how having it in the coil like that lifts the jeep). i went ahead and put it on the bottom of the coil but it doesn't look right and it didn't lift the jeep much. i wonder if i did it wrong but i cant find any instructions on it on the internet. please help.

Those sound like they go into the spring to keep the spring from compressing which will not give you any lift.

They will give you some lift, like an inch at best. however, and I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT under ANY circumstances use those. There was a set in the front coil springs on my XJ when I bought it, and I was afraid that they were going to pop out and break something or hurt someone. They are a bad idea and should be illegal

yes, kinda. They can give you some lift but are a horrible idea. I'd feel safer using PVC as a coil spacer

they are like wedges but they are designed to not pop or fly out. it encircle the coil and has a grove on it to keep it in the right place. i took them out the moment i realized they don't work much

Yupp, and they have bolts on each side of the groove to separate coils? If they are what I think they are. I won't ever go near, ride in or have anything to do with a vehicle that has them installed.
