Steering stabilizers like sway bars may not be needed on the trail.... Their purpose is better served on the road.
Why does the factory put sway bars I vehicle? Probably to help compensate for the soft suspension meant more for comfort than performance.
Why does the factory put a steering stabilizer on? Probably to help correct slight discrepancies in steering geometry during certain (maybe even rare) conditions.
I have my factory sway bar and steering stabilizer because I drive on the road a lot. Do I absolutely need them? Probably not but I know there is a difference when I accidentally leave my sway bar disconnected.... There will probably be a difference if I get rid of the stabilizer.

Well thanks alot for killin the thread for me!!! This is "small claims court" where there are NO lawyers & the atmosphere is relaxed & most cases are one persons word against anothers, SO basically the person who presents the strongest case wins & thats what i was tryin to do here.
You DONT need to be a cerified technician to proove my case cause if i have 20 people sayin that theres no need for a stabilizer on a modified jeep then the odds heavily favor my side!! Posting what u said fits more into a law suit setting where id be goin after him for lots more money & somethin like personal injuries where cold facts are neccessary!!
The fact that the jeep comes with a stabilizer in its stock form is in MY favor because this is NOT a stock jeep & once u have as much modifications as i do, the stabilizer is no longer neccessary or needed!!
Well whatever dude, the thread is dead now & suits no purpose since the ONLY purpose was to gather up as many people as possible to state the obviouse & thats that no one uses stabilizers past a certian point in modifications...

Let us all know how this turns out but if I were a judge and OEM equipment was removed, I would conclude a change was introduced that obsoletes its original design, including vehicle safety. I really don't think you can bully a judgment via the masses in your favor if an intelligent argument is presented against it. Your testimony would be viewed as hearsay, not fact...
And as far as OEM equipment goes, theres NOTHING on my jeep thats OEM hence the phraze "real jeeps are built not bought" AND the appointment made with 4xheaven.com (a 4x4 shop), was for custom work that was explained in FULL detail prior to the start of the job.
This thread WAS supposed to be simple & to the point & is now way off topic & is no longer needed or neccessary to reply to.

Like you said, the best argument will win. How cool will it be when he gets into court all puffed up him being a certified tech & all, giving all his arguments, & then BAM! There you are with pictures & sworn statements proving your case. I think you should re-read what I wrote before. You can get some of what I suggested right here. But simply writing down what the forum said & going into court parroting all that info might not get the effect you're looking for. Be prepared - pictures & statements mean you are prepared. The judge will appreciate that. Don't get complacent just because it's small claims court. You're there to win your money back. Put some real effort into it. PM folks, have them send you pics, mail you statements.
That's what I'm saying. Don't know why you're throwing a hissy fit ...
I actually hope you win.
