When I'm driving down the road if I hit a bump my 94 cherokee steering will shift left or right causing me to correct it pulling the steering wheel to keep from going into traffic or off the road

We need more than a year model to work with.
Things like
what is your suspension is made of?
What steering and track bar?

You posted in modified tech so I assume it must have modified suspension atleast.

Lol man. I asked for more details and you basically repeated what you first said.

I guess I could have been more specific as well so I apologize. I need to save cruisers standard response to these situations haha

^ His response indicated to me that he doesn't know what details you wanted.
I believe there is a "read this before posting" sticky up top but not are about this modified section.
Edit: I see that there isn't one that I was thinking.
No one would read it if it were there.

"Thanks for your post.

We’re here to help, but you must understand that all Jeeps are not the same.
In order for us to give you more accurate advice and help, we must know the following, as applicable, along with detailed information as to the symptoms/problems etc:

Year
Model
Engine
Transmission
Transfer case"

of course you can add your current suspension setup and other things.

in other words op, we can't help you with out knowing what you have.
