Simple issue, the truck won't idle upon start every once in a while. I start it and it fires then dies. I try starting again, it continues to crank and will not start unless I give it gas. I have to continue to give it enough gas to idle for a few seconds until it will idle by itself, otherwise it will die out if I let off too soon.
Fuel pressure regulator or idle control valve?
(Placed in the modified section because I have a bored TB and spacer, in case it makes any difference)
Read this as well (my battery is getting pretty rough - starts every time but sometimes slowly):
Anyone ever have this issue?

This is the common symptom that your battery is failing. It may have enough power to start the engine, but the low voltage makes the engine computer re-boot and delete the idle settings.

First step would be to take your battery to and auto parts store to get load tested. Also wouldn't hurt to take out your IAC and see what kind of shape it's in. If it's nice and black, some carb cleaner and taking an old toothbrush to it may help you out.
this. clean your battery terminals as well. good electrical connections go a long way.

Cleaned up the IAC a couple of months ago and the terminals are clean. Will do a load test within the next week since we are ordering a new battery tester for the shop now.
