you will be less cool with 8in stacks.i am not sure you understand how big an 8in stack is not to mention the awful megaphone affect you will have. and my 92 i just picked up has the full chrome kit and it's to much.. door handles, roofrack, bumpers, mirrors, jeep logos, window trim, grill.. and so on..

If you use an 8" stack you can also put a wood stove in the back.

Even without the stove, it will make the inside pretty toasty (unless he uses heat shield).

I like this idea! I have only seen a few trucks that look good with stacks but that chopped xj with the single stack out back looks badass!

I just wouldn't run it anywhere inside the cabin because of the heat issue. It would be a crappy day for someone when you hit some bump and one of the passengers used it as an "oh ****" handle an burns the hell outta themselves...

Ya I plan on replacing the rear bench with 2 racing bucket seats that match the front and when I do I will fab up a guards to go with them I need the stacks in before the buckets and the buckets before the roll cage and then I can put on heat guards that won't get n the way of the 6 point harnesses

Sweet! Keep us posted with pics of ur progress and the problems you ran into while figuring it out!

It's cool to see people thinking outside of the box and having the right tools to take an idea and fab it right up into reality! Not gonna lie I'm pretty jealous :P

If this is for real how come I can't swear but I have to put up with this religious garbage. Someone should monitor that.

X2 its bad enough having to put up with it being shoved down your throat every where you go but you would think that forums this highly moderated would at least attempt to stop it may try to keep it at a minimum how is it if I mention cat and remove in the same thread it is nearly guaranteed to be read by a moderator and I will get another one of there nice little pm's but I can shove my religion down your throat when ever I feel like it

I my self am a strong beliver in god, however I just can't stand that people can't keep there religion to there self, I don't know what's worse aliens creating us, or that earth is only a couple hours old there are no perfect religions and people still have to argue about it.. about the stacks, don't hate new ideas I know change is scary and its bad to stand out but as far as I'm concerned in a jeep with as much work and money invested its a crime to blend in

Back on topic. I think the 2.5" stacks with like 4" tips would look good. 8" stacks would look dumb as fawk. It would be like ricing out your XJ.

back to the stacks... you may want to try to get your hands on a couple test pieces or maybe even some big pvc pipe to get an idea of what it will look like 8in, stacks looked too big on my mack R model i drove for a while.. go get some 4in pvc to get an idea of size i bet it will give you
the look you want

Love the idea of stacks on chopped xjs! Im planning on chopping mine this summer and also planning on doing one functional stack. My idea is 2.5 straight pipe from the cat to the stack and then have a cherry bomb glass pack with a tip on top for the actual stack. I think it would look badass *** well as being loud and functional through the deep stuff.
