Default Spectre Cowl Intake?

http://www.quadratec.com/products/17006_7100_07.htm
Is there anyone who has first-hand experience with this intake? If so, what do you think of it? Do you like it? Is there anything you would change about it?

I have it on my '99. There is a noticeable intake sound in the cab but nothing I can't live with. I'm going to try using some spray on sound deadener in the cowl and the fire wall in the cab to off set it. I like mine though and would put it in again. Just make sure before you drill a hole in your cowl to test fit the pipe with the hood closed to make sure you're not going to hit.

So far for Renix all i've seen is Spectre and homebrew.

Good write up for homebrew.

I plan on swapping my short ram for this. Seems beefier and I like the cowl mounting bracket a lot. Non-Renix though.

Also bad a$$ sounding intake noise and room to run a second battery > every other intake.

How loud was the intake noise from inside the cab? and at what speeds?

How much clearance is there from the top of the pipe to the hood above the throttle body?

It's really only loud when you put your foot in it. It's a cool sound.

BTW:

Summit racing had them on sale for $150 with a $20 rebate and free shipping.

I really like mine. There is little to no room between the pipe over the TB and the hood.

If your at all sensitive to noise dont do it. Its much louder than it should be, you can hear it sucking the air out of the inside of the car. Very hard to get used to. I actually took mine out.
