thanks for sharing, I hope to install mine this weekend. How was the hole to cut, were you able to just use 3/8 drill with metal hole saw ?

I went to buy a hole saw from Home Depot, they wanted $25 between it and the pilot bit you need. My buddy has a plasma cutter... WAY easier. It doesn't have to be exact either.

Plasma is way nice. I have pilot that came with my 4inch hole saw I can use but would still need to buy hole saw. I was thinking drilling bunch of small holes then cut it out with cutting wheel.

Got mine installed today, picked up 3inch hole saw $12 at lows I already had pilot bit. Had to relocate under hood light. Everything went together great nice rubber gaskets to seal everything up nice an tight. Definitely has grumble inside when u hammer it, smoothes out cruising.

Just a ? If you run this into the cowl wont you get water into the intake when it rains? And if not does this restrict the air flow then? Ok so two? 'S thanks

It doesn't let water in because the inlet for the intake sits higher than the 'floor' of the cowl area, so the water that does get into the cowl goes through the normal drains on the sides before it gets sucked into the engine.

Plus the cowl over the intake side is sealed so it would take some doing to get some water sucked up.Originally Posted by GtiKyle
