Default Speaker size in 1998 xj?

Im looking to put in new speakers in the jeep i just bought. It has stock ones now and sound like crap. Can anyone tell me what sizes i can put in without any modifacation?

I fit some Alpine 6.5" in the doors and roof. No mods needed. Someone else may want to confirm, but IIRC, it was a straightforward swap.

Ya im just looking to pull out the old and put in the new. I think im gonna do the rears first nd then when i replace the deck ill do the fronts also. Thankyou for the response

Nice. I got a full system in my other car. 2006 chevy cobalt custom turbo. Cost about 800 bucks installed with the deck and all the speakers. I just want a basic set up in the xj

Well I gotta a hell of a deal on sone l7 15s and those are going in there extra battery and bigger alternator also.

Deff gonna need a bigger altenator. Those bad boys are gonna draw alot of power. U should look into gettig a capacitor also.

I run 6.5" all around in my 97 and I only had to drill new holes in the soundbar. If you want a cheap and reasonable system good in a jeep; Sony Xplod everything matches and sounds well in my heep.
