Default Spare tire carrier

Will an aftermarket 31x10.50x15 tire (on a stock wheel) fit a Factory XJ tire carrier? Was sure where this should go (stock or advanced-since it's kind of about both) so I posted it in both areas? I have a lead on a rare factory unit for $30. Will it support the weight you think too?

Its fine for up to a 32inch IMO. I have a factory carrier in my garage right now.

Yes the tire will fit, you might need longer studs though a 31" is about as big as it will hold. Most likely the carrier will support the weight, you are at it's limit with a 31" . Yes the whole unit will probably rip off the body/ bumper at some point. You are going to want to reinforce it some especially if you leave the pavement at all.
