Default Spare Tire Bumper

Was considering putting on a roof rack and storing the spare up there....after thinking about it, seems like a pain in the rear to remove if I had a flat. I looked at the XJ Tailbone but that seems like a lot of work to install. Does anyone make an economical bumper with a swing out tire carrier? $900.00 is a little rich for me. Am I dreaming?

what size tire you have as spare?

the stock bumper with tire carrier can accommodate up to a 31" tire
i have the stock swing out tire carrier myself, I found it as a CL steal for $35 inlcuding the bumper, which i didnt have so it worked out great for me

I did take a 1/8" piece of sheet metal to put behind the thin metal body so when i attached the screws and extra large washers, it in theory could hold and distribute the weight better. effectively keeping my tire carrier from ripping out by accident.
