3.55 to 4.10
K i'm positive there is a thread out there on how to do this and the materials needed, but I'm lazy and I'd be all sorts of giddy if someone would help me out here. I am about to get 4.10's from a guy who's going to 4.58's It'd be both rings and pinions and nothing else. What else do I need? I almost ordered new c clips for my 35 and went out to buy some diff fluid and saw how expensive it was. Figure ill get the clips and R&P and do them all at the same time
One little thing, not sure if i need a different carrier or what not. thought i heard that somewhere.
What do I need, materials wise. I work at a shop and have access to tools/coworkers that can help me, but I'd rather ask them to just borrow their tools
Thanks!

Just made the swap from 3.55 to 4.10. Dana 30 wasn't bad...but the chrysler 8.25, well it gave me a fit. Anyway, I know you'll need a new carrier for the front. 3.73 an up. you'll need complete yukon setup kits, about $100 each. Tools, Tools and more tools. But you'll need to do your research. I spent a couple of weeks just reading writeups about the gear change. I used to own my own mechanic shop and replaced a lot of carrier and axle bearings but setting up the pinion depth was for me a nightmare. I'm glad i did it but it's a lot of work. I don't know anything about the 35 but a lot of people would suggest putting your time and money into something else. Do your home work and then decide. Lots of help on here.
