Default Rear shackles?

I am going to keep it short and sweet.....

I have a 6.5 inch long arm and want to order new coils and leafs because mine are sagging really bad.

So here it is.......

Just 6.5 inch leaf springs and regular shackles?

OR

Smaller lift leaf springs and lift shackles?

Whats your thoughts?

If you are already having sag issues the shakles will help to lessen future sagging, if your gonna keep the rig that long.

I run 3.5" RE packs with 2" RC shackles, so far have no sag. They have been on for over 5 yrs. and I think the flex is more than enough.

I hope so, I'm thinking that's the way I'm headed. Might do 5.5 inch springs tho because I do plan on a tire carrier and 35s and also 2 dogs in the back alot and other random "crap"

How will larger lift springs give you more room in the back of your truck?

I'm talking extra lift for when the rear is weighed down with my dogs and anything else in there. Hoping that it will have some what of a level look.

I wish extra lift meant extra cargo room.....

Agreed. His adjustable shackles would work perfect for you, then you can dial in the ride height. They are not "cheap" like a static shackle but offer the adjustability that I feel you would find useful.

Here is the link to them.

4.5" springs with a lift shackle would work/ride better then a 6.5" spring on stock shackles. With that much lift the stock shackles need to go.

Those shackles from iron man are pretty amazing. I'm going to look into maybe even shackle relocation, I just want the best ride possible from what I'm working with.
