Alright, got a few questions.
First, I've got a 2000 xj, so i gues that means my D30 is a low pinion diff with a straight pinion/ring. I plan on putting in a RC 6.5 long arm lift and running 35's.
I plan on putting on a ford 8.8 with 4.88 gears and a ECTED electronic locker.
A local pinion place has the locker for just 400 bucks because it's box was opened and it's been on the shelf for a year. Anyone have any input on these lockers?
Second, I hear it's a pain in the butt to re-gear a d30 and was curious if i could use the stock D30's LSD with new 4.88s. The D30 is a 3.55 at the moment. Has anyone replaced the ring and pinion in a D30 and, should i consider getting lockable hubs?
Third, am i over looking anything that might pose a problem in the future? Thanks
