Default so im kinda stumped.. help w disk brakes

i just bought another xj, its a great rig with many upgrades, including rear disks.

but the PO didnt do them and didnt know what they came from..

how would i go about finding out which setup was used so i can get new pads?

the idiots at auto store said i should just go back to drums cause they had the parts for me to do it

Take the pads out on one side and take them to a real parts store like Napa.
Skip the frustration of dealing with some pimply faced clerk at the box stores.

Ya that's what I would do have them compare with zj and liberty pads if that doesn't work try crown Vic and Ford explorer

oh ya, i couldve. if i had any time. between 2 kids and work i hardly get time to wrench anymore.

only parts store close to me said they couldnt help unless i knew the make. now i can say its either a GC a lib or a crown vic.

thatll cut the time down from taking them off, borrowing wifes van to go to store, figuring out which of the three pads i need, getting home and getting them on and returning the van.

and the pads are not bad yet. just preemptive knowledge for when the time comes

In that case, take them off and trace them on paper. Get them later as needed.
