Small problem
So problem. My (2000 xj) engine heat comes right out of the grill and hits my off road lights which fogs then up. Any idea how I can keep this from happening? I'd prefer not to do hood vents, I was thinking of possibly blocking some of the grill behind the lights to keep the direct heat off of them but I know that's not the best idea. I don't want them sticking out to far from the Jeep either.
My lights are currently setup like this but just the two outside lights.

How is heat coming out the grill? Are you driving in reverse with no fan...
Are you sure it's heat from the engine and not heat from the bulbs themselves?

Is the condensation on the inside of your road light lenses? If so, your problem is that your housings are leaking and letting moisture inside. You need to either reseal or replace them.
Hot air will actually cause condensation on the inside of the lens as long as there is moisture supplied. It happens. As for water getting in, I didn't see any when I looked, it was weird. These lights are brand new and haven't even been opened. literally slapped them on till I can get my new bulbs (100w Philips)
I'll try resealing them, I'll apply some grease to the rubber gasket to see if that helps keep the water from getting in.

If you purchased them new from a retailer, I would consider returning them as defective, because this is not something that should be happening regardless of any heat source. If you try to reseal them, and it doesn't work, you might have a problem returning them. There's no reason you should accept defective merchandise.
If you do decide to try to reseal them instead, you should probably open them up in an air conditioned room and let them completely dry out first. Otherwise you'll just trap the water inside for all eternity.
