Default Similar tie rod issue to knuckledraggers post

I have a 93 XJ sport with a rough country 4.5 x series lift. I bought as is right after the lift and tires were done.
My problem is that I believe the steering setup has been upgraded and I cannot find tie rod ends for it. I've mic'd and photographed what I have in hopes some one can tell me what I need. Desperately needing new ones....

Rod diameter

Right outer

This is my daily driver and atv tow rig when the atv park is muddy. It has 124k original miles and I intend to put another 50k or so before it becomes a full time toy.
If anyone recognizes the steering setup I have please share any info you've got so I can get it back on the road.

That there is a Serious Offroad Under the Knuckle steering upgrade. I don't see where you can get those TRE's at tho on their site. Its the 1 ton kit. Maybe Serious can step in and enlighten you on how to get replacement TRE's.

Or they are JCR's, either way they are pretty much identical on setups.

Actually now that I look at it closer. It is a JCR offroad setup. Serious has a shorter tre's on the draglink than JCR does.

This is JCR's, the TRE matches more to what you have than Serious does

There replacement TRE's are here. http://www.jcroffroad.com/product/STR/TREKIT.html

Thank you very much for your reply and the info. I'll be in touch with JCR today. I usually do all my own mods but in this case suspension and steering were already done. Thanks again for your reply.

This looks almost identical to my rusty's TR. I am curious what part numbers you come up with for your TREs.

I was able to get pictures to JCR of what I've got. They are telling me it's not theirs but may be a kit from rugged ridge.
Soon as I hear back from them I'll update again. Either way thanks again to codenamefa for getting me on the right track to finding these TRE's.

If its a Rugged Ridge, Scream and run! no offense but I had Rugged Ridge Steering once and it got a dead spot after 3 months and the tie rods started to roll really bad at 6 months. I ended up scrapping it and getting a new Currie System, have only had to rebuild it recently but it survived a few years with the person i sold it to before i bought it back in november. But honestly I would just take the money your putting in and just buy 1 of the jcr's or a serious offroad and call it good. its like $100 more than it will cost you in TRE's for that setup.

I'll take that advice. Wonder if I'll have to re-ream the knuckles.... Definitely gonna swap it all out. They list the reamer sizes for those kits online I believe. Thanks for the input. Nothing speaks the truth like hearing from someone who's been there done that. Thanks again. Ill update when I decide on a new setup.

Ordering the JCR setup. Apparently the previous owner didn't wanna ream anything so he went with the rugged ridge kit.....horrible rod ends. I've gotta ream it tho for the JCR setup and I've never done said reaming before.
Is this a simple drilling procedure or are there any tips or tricks to it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Researched your site....very informative. I like the otk kit. I'm gonna go with the utk kit for now but I have two questions:

What's better reaming or inserts?

If I decide to switch to otk later and relocate trackbar could any of your utk components be used to convert or would I have to replace entire kit?

Thanks in advance for your reply
