Should I just strap a box fan to the grill?
Be careful , using a lower temp T stat , I did it last year and mileage went down some . I'm getting hood vents this year , I had 1" tubing spacers to raise the hood it helped alittle .

The PCM will think the engine is cold and add fuel. Cold engines require more fuel so the PCM increases the injector on time to act as a choke or a cold start enrichment circuit.

I am thankful that I don't have any overheating issues, especially given where I live. But going back to my original posts, I do wish there was a quieter electric fan that could be swapped in.
Someone suggested wiring a bunch of computer fans together, and working in the IT field, that would be easy enough for me to do. But it did make me think of something...
One of the major PC fan companies has a line of fans designed to be quiet. When you look at them, the fan blades have dimples all over them, much like a golf ball. And they are indeed pretty darn quiet.
I know that part of the noise is just the high speed at which the fan operates. I'm seriously toying with the idea of using two fans on the front side of the radiator in a push configuration, but using two may allow me to lower their RPM while still maintaining adequate airflow over the radiator. I'll pop some of those wire mesh grill inserts in to protect those two fans form debris, and paint them black to match the grill.

Oh yeah, I knew you were kidding. i was joking about being able to wire a ton of them up. Nowhere near durable enough and not enough CFM.
But as I said, they did get me thinking about those ones with the dimpled fan blades that are so quiet, and if anyone made an automotive fan the same way. I figure I might try a couple of universal 12" fans in a push configuration and see how that does.

Throw in some Scythe Gentle Typhoons and call it a day. How much voltage are you running?
Oh wait, wrong forum
Seriously, that is amazing that you are able to keep it from overheating in such high temps -- my E-fan doesnt even work any more...
I want an E-Fan setup so bad so I can shut it off when going through water crossings (and when it is -10*F outside).
