No pointing fingers. Just a general statement.

Some people just love picking fights and try to show how much they know or in some cases how much they don't know or how closed minded they can be.

Its like when your'e having a good time bench racing with buddies around a campfire but there's that one narcissistic dude who just has to be "that guy" who just gotta get respect from everybody and can't just chill, relax and have a good time.

We'll, usually it's "that guy" that usually stops getting invited, but I rekon still needs an outlet for his narcissism. Maybe through some online forum.

Well, since I am the only one who has responded in this post repeatedly, I'd have no choice but to assume your "no pointing fingers' is meant for me. I'm not a fan of 'picking fights' as you call it, but I am also NOT a fan of allowing incorrect info to go unchallenged. I don't mind explaining something, and I can see where someone who doesn't agree with the explanation could call it 'picking a fight' or 'arguing'. True or not, it exacts an emotional response from others. If no one ever corrects something that is wrong, and enough people see it, then those people will learn wrong, and not know what is right.

'Closed minded' implies there is more than 1 way for something to work.....but there isn't.

Respect....I couldn't care less if yall respect me or not.....I don't know you, and will likely never meet any of you.....but I do care when something wrong or incorrect is put out, and no one even questions or challenges it.

I have been simply trying to explain how something works, and it seems pretty obvious some don't truly understand how these lockers work, or realize just how many times these things unlock when driving. I mean most seem to understand they lock together with engine power, but they don't understand how or what forces them to, or lets them unlock, even UNDER power.

If these things stayed locked & stayed locked as much as is being claimed, there'd be a lot of broken & twisted up axle shafts, but there aren't.

I have tried to get the correct info out without using insults or innuendo like you & others have in replying.

It is pretty basic...science/physics/reality - whatever you want to call it - when you have 3 metal parts that can fit together in only 1 arrangement, and can only move together in one motion...nothing else can happen without breakage. Yes, I know there are more than 3 parts to the locker, but it's only really 3 that do the locking & unlocking.

I agree with Fred especially since you are in snow and ice country. I've had four Cherokees over the last twenty five years which I've driven on ice and snow, the best traction on slippery roads I experienced was limited slip rear with an open front differential. Put a selectable locker in the front differential for offroad use and your Cherokee will be unstoppable. Have fun with the build.
