Im getting ready to lift my 1990 xj 3.5" I was wondering what would be a better type of shock, the hydros or nitros? Im gunna do maily road driving and some off roading. Price really isnt an issue because im getting a great deal on either ones. Thanks for your input.

 

Hydro. They tend to take more of a beating and are still superior in ride quality.

Thanks for your input. I have just been stuck in the middle cuz I have people telling me hydros and then some nitros. I'm new to this and just bought my jeep in January so I'm trying to do it right. Any other suggestions for when I lift it? I already got 3.5" coils, new rims, and 31x10.50x15 bfg mud terrains. I'm buying it in chunks to space out the cost some.

 

Go full leaf, quick disco's on the front sway, and relocate the track bar.
