Bought a used lift kit and one fo the shocks came a bit damaged. I was assured this is fine and not a problem so don't panic at the dents. BUT the (I call it a pin) is out of the rubber and I can not for the life of me get it back in.
See attached advise as needed. I will admit I feel a drag when the piston moves bast the dented up portions...

 

Pretty straight forward, piston inside a tube, tube bent/crushed/dented, piston will bind!
Replace the shock ...

 

With a better quality shock.....

Will probably just get a same replacement shock for now - even though I know its cheap stuff. Thanks for the advice.
