Default Shackle relocation kit + 2" shackles = 3" lift?

If I get the Rough country shackle relocation kit along with 2" adjustable shackles will that give me 3" of lift in the rear? The shackle relocating kit claims it gives you a 1-1.5" lift alone.

in theory yes.. but i bought those for one of my first jeeps before i was privy as to why rough country was actually so cheap.....both boxes cracked after about 3 months.

maybe i installed wrong in my learning years? Possible but its hard to do them wrong. Not sure which i replaced them with. I dont think it was the hd offroad ones but it very well could have been. Sold the jeep shortly after.

I always thought rough country was fine as long as you weren't buying springs or shocks from them. That's the first I have heard about someone having an issue with the relocating kit, all the other reviews I have read have been positive .

all of their stuff is on the very cheap side. Hence why their stuff is usually yhe lowest priced out of everyone else. Where i work, we are a dealer for them. I see all of their products and you can see why the cost is low. If it were up to me, we wouldnt carry them. But most stuff go on mall crawlers so its ok for them.

when i showed it to one of the guys here thats an avid welder, he said the welds on the brackets were very poor. Again, this was a few years back, but based on the stuff i see from them, i doubt they would hold up to any tough wheeling.

I have their relocation brackets on mine and while some of their parts are consider "cheaper" - these are just as thick and good as anything I've seen on the market. Plus I've hit them on rocks about 40 times and they hold up well.

I have them on mine and with those shackles you'll at least get 3" so yeah... good luck!

It's a really solid product and works great.
