Default Shackle Relocation Bracket install

Yesterday i went to install my Shackle relocation brackets. I dropped the rear axle with my jack and used jack stands right in front of the front rear leaf springs. My problem came when i got the shackle off. It just went up into the shackle housing. What am i doing wrong and any help would be great.

Thanks

Do I need to release the rear shocks for the leaf springs to drop and not feel super stiff?

No. You probably didn't raise the rear of the jeep high enough.

Depending on the shock, but more than likely yes you will. I'd just unbolt the shocks at the axle.

You can also take off the rear wheels (if you haven't already) to allow more droop

yes i would think it would be a lot easier with the shocks unhooked.

With the frame on stands as high as you can safely get it, unhook the shocks, Put a jack under the axle, lift it just enough to get the wheels off then lower the axle with the jack. That way you can use the jack to control the height of the axle when you're trying to line the holes back up when you're reinstalling your springs.
