Default Shackle question

My cherokee could use new rear shackles soon and when I was looking online I saw the rough country adjustable shackle setup. My jeep already has a 4.5 rough country short arm lift on it and 33 12.5s. Is the shackle setup they have worth it to use? And what would be the best thing to use up front to even it out?

My buddy has the rough country shackles and they are beef. Poly spacers to even out the front

those adjustable ones allow you to take or add an inch if you ever want to get the relocation kit, and get your shackle angle perfect.

I got them with my longarm kit and I really like them. If you need new shackles, do yourself a favor and get RC's relocation kit at the same time and use the first hole on the adj shackle. You'll be quite pleased at the awesome angle and new found articulation of both the front and rear of your Jeep...not to mention the new found ride quality.

I own and payed actuall money for these parts so I'm not getting this info from a friend or thats what I heard...

My $.02

Get these, they'll cost about the same as the rough country ones except theyre made with about 3 times thicker metal. I have them and absolutely love them.

My only problem with the boxes and shackles from rc is the shackles would contact the box when compressed. They also gave me more lift then I wanted but when I eventually put them back on ill have shave the boxes down some to keep them from contacting.

Also there are much better made relocation boxes from our local vendors than what RC sells.. Check out Lead Foot in the vendor section, he sells both low profile relocation boxes and normal relocation boxes.

I'm glad that answered your question, so you will use the number one hole if you don't want to add any lift. use the second hole if you want to add an inch and then level the front.

since the shackle relocation brackets add an inch I used the number one hole to take away in an inch because I didn't want to add any more lift and I didn't want to level the front.
