tcase wont shift after RR sye

i installed the rugged ridge sye and the trasfercase feels like the shifting rod is hitting somthing. i ruled out the linkage and the shifting rod is trimmed to the correct length so its not hitting the new housing bolt. i inspected everything assembling it and nothing was left out or installed wrong. any ideas?

it won't even shift from 2Hi to 4Hi? Or do you mean trying to shift it from 2Hi to like 4Low?

only thing i would say is that the shift rod is too long but you said you cut that, so I guess take it apart again and look at it all

it wont shift from 2hi to any other range

i know i have to take it apart again but i guess i should reword this question to anything to look for that anyones had any problems with in the past?
