I have my lower long arms in place but I still have to put in my uppers. What is a good way to rotate the axle to make them fit? Would a pipe wrench on the axle tube be alright? I don't know how strong axle tubes are.

 

I would just get a buddy to twist it into place as you line up the holes and bolt them in

 

Haha maybe I just didnt give it enough ummpf. The first one was easy to get in, but the second one, I can't quite get it. They're both set at the same length also.

 

if you have no weight on the axle it should just flop around. I did mine with the axle basically sitting on the ground, hooked the arms up and then jacked the axle back up into place.
let it hang at least enough to take the spring tension off, and you should be able to do it by hand. Im not sure why so many people seem to have problems with them

 

Ratchet strap works great. If you wrap it under the pinion (careful to get only the housing and not the yoke/shaft) and over the top of the housing to something near the bumper it really helps rotate it into place

 

Mine where a PITA also, makes no sense to me as the only thing connected was the lower control arms.

 

I used a heavy duty come along wrapped around the whole axle tube and hooked to the cross member. Once u start cranking the come along the diff has to go somewhere and with the upper(s) disconnected it will tilt back . Be careful as I wrapped it around my ox cable 100$ down the drain. I have long arms but same thing if short arm

 

thats weird. I grabbed the upper ball joint, pulled it, and hooked my upper arm.

 

I have trouble getting the second one in.
