Question School me on LED Lighting...

I know these things have made some huge leaps foward in lighting, blowing the halogen lamps away, but theres no way in hell im spending $1K & up on a light bar!!

I have H4 headlights, 5 KC Daylighters on the roof, & KC Slim driving lights on the bumper, BUT i wanna add in a decent pair of LED driving lights, & my searches have just made me more & more confused. I mean for $5 bucks i got an LED flashlight no bigger then the palm of my hand that out performs my 4D mag flashlight by a mile!!

So, any reccomendations on a company, make, model, etc, for me to google?? Id like them to have a driving light beam & a cost that doesnt break the bank!!

I know ebay has good deals & yes i know u get what u pay for so i guess im more looking for a "middle of the road light" kinda guy.

Thanks a Million!!

Check the other led thread. In the next few days I'll post pics of my h4 with harness, hella 550 fogs, and 30" led bar on my Thule. Light bar was 200 and blows my high beams out of the water. Its like daylight for 500 feet

My guy sells a 6" led bar for 80 iirc. Same housing and mounts as rigid. Different lens and protection, for what I can tell. 80 shipped. Two of those, properly adjusted and you'd be in good shape. I got the aforementioned 30" bar and it blows up the night. Not sure what you're after. Feel free to pm me for opinions

Well like i said, id like some reccomendations on a pair of small LED Driving lights that i can use all the time onroad that wont blind oncoming traffic & not a set of 2000LM offroading LED lights.

Altho i must admit, if i like them as much as i think i will & i can afford to add in a roof mounted LED light bar, then ill probably pick one up!!

Ive seen those Rigid lights & they are WAY out of my price range!!

Where did you get a $5 flashlight that outperforms a 4D Maglite? lol

Perhaps not $5, but I have several $10 LED lights that use a single AA battery that put out about 4-6 times the lumens of my 3D Mag. Mag has fallen WAAAAY behind on light technology. While their new LED offerings are definitely an improvement, they are still lacking in features and quality over many other competitors.

An XML T6 LED chip can outperform any mag & there all over amazon & ebay. The one i have is a lower model CREE Q5 LED powered by a single AA battery & it costed under $5 bucks including the shipping. Just beware of some of the cheap ones that claim 1600LM plus when there more like 300+ BUT even those are still VERY bright!!

Ok back on topic please... Driving Lights, Driving Lights, Driving Lights!!!

Heres a real good example of a nice set of "LED" driving lights, except for the $400+ pricetag!
http://www.offroadgears.com/product-p/xil-op210kit.htm

Even the single 10watt LED is $223 for a pair & id like to be right around $150 max!
