Default Samllest amount of lift for long arms.

I see kits all over the place by so many different companies for long arm kits and upgrades. They all seem to start at 4.5 lift range though. I want to upgrade to long arms soon but I really like my lift height of 3". I've been in taller rigs and I it may sound like I'm splitting hairs over 3-4.5". But For my purposes 3" is what I prefer. I know anything is possible with the right amount of fab work and money. Any body out here running low lift with long arms on an XJ?

I've got the Full Traction 3.5" 4-link long arm system and like it. There are pictures of the install in my build thread. I'd say it sits up higher than 3.5" in the back though, or less in the front. Not sure which, but it has a slight rake on my Jeep.

Awesome build man! The kit seems pretty nice for a bolt on. I'd probably bolt on followed by some welds for added safety factor. Do your rear mounts ever get hung up? Not sure if its the color scheme but it looks like they hang kinda low.

They haven't gotten hung up, but the way the arms are angled I think it would just slide off most things. I only got a couple moderate trails in last year once I finalized the install. Now I'm waiting for the snow to melt so I can give it a workout this summer.

Clayton long arms will work with a 3 inch lift.

Look in to mid arms, everyone seems to forget about those. Short arms are good for 0"-2.5" lifts and 2.5"-4" ideally should be with a mid arm.
