Hey guys, I'm looking at either the Rusty's 3" or Rough Country 3" both with new leaf packs. I've been doing a lot of reading on here which has directed me in this direction. Now I'd like your opinions on these two. Pros, cons, install or customer service issues and how the lift is holding up. Thanks for the input, Mike
I was happy with my rough country 3" series 2 lift. It was great for a year, now the lower control arm bushings are completely shot.. But other than the LCA bushings everything else has held up fine. Rustys lca's look identicle though..
I am currently waiting on an email back from RC to see what they can do for me.
IMO both are pretty close..You get what you pay for. Nuff said

i have no experience with rustys, so i cant help you there.
i have a RC lift that i ordered from morris 4x4. 3" with aal, and it settled at 3.5" front and 3.25"rear. i got my order in 3 days from FLA and installation went smoothly. instructions werent used, but i know some ppl pay extra money for good instructions?

I have the Rusty's 3" w/ full packs (have added spacers and shackles to it) and have had no issues at all in the past 2 years. Shipping is high, but calling them on the phone and letting them know who else you're looking at going through (RC) and giving them a price that includes shipping from them helps in lowering the final costs. I ended up paying about $60 more for the Rusty's kit overall, but for the better ride and better customer service (in my experience anyway), it's was worth it.
Install was incredibly easy

i went with the RC Series II w/rear spring packs because i got 10% off my entire order for being a forum member on here, plus they threw in 5 shock boots for free, gave me a big bore steering stabalizer for $25, and on top of that shipping is less than half what rusty's charges.
i ordered my kit on friday, it shipped the same day, and will be here tuesday.
everyone at RC was super friendly, and easy to deal with on the phone.

I've had my rustys 3 inch for a few months and I love it so far! Pretty smooth on the road. It's no Mercedes of a ride but its a lifted jeep I'm not exactly looking for luxury and comfort. They seem pretty flex too

Just go with rough country i have the 3 inch kit with the aal and it was sooo easy to instal and it rides good/flex good and is great for a dd also
If i decide to go 6.5" long arm i will be ordering it from rc as well. Great ppl to talk to 10% discount and cheaper shipping is a big plus in my book.

I have not used rustys, so no opinio on them...
I have a RC "X" long arm kit, Hate the joints, blown threw 3 sets in 4 months... Now I have to buy repalcement joints to fix my new kit. not going to install the crappy RC joints again just to redue them in another 3-4 weeks.

i agree that Rough Country has got the win on the shipping part, big time. but i would replace the front rubber bushing in the new leaf pack with a poly bushing. i dont know if they fix this issue, but i went through 3 of thier bushings before i threw a poly one in there, best thing i did ever. otherwise, love my 6.5" long arm kit
