Rusty's Offroad rear disk brake conversion?
I was wondering if anyone has ever done this conversion and if so what brake pads do they use so i know what to order when replacing.
Thanks!

Yeah, find yourself a 94-98 Grand cherokee and rob the rear brake setup off it. Its almost a direct bolt on and cheaper to boot!
There is a nice how-to in the xj tech section.
edit: The Rusty's Kit looks exactly like the grand cherokee stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually is grand cherokee parts.

The only part that's not a direct bolt on, is if you have an 8.25 axle, you have to open the axle tube opening on the backing plate up a tiny bit. Everything else is directly bolted on. A d35 rear should be a direct bolt on with no mods needed.

Knock out the caliper bracket mounting studs and lug studs of the donor vehicle while you're at it. You'll then have them to use on your rig. Put a nut on the threads at the tip of the bolt and give 'em a whack with a hammer to remove them.

I have the terraflex disks in the back... good improvement over stock. think it was like 500$? only bad thing is you have to buy the pads directly from them
