So, like many others, I am left with my puny d30 front end and cannot afford an upgrade. But I see the other day that rustys had d30 reinforcement plates that weld on. This seems like just a steel plate welded on to make a thicker axle...anyone gave any experience with these?

you are talking about the tube that goes between the housing and the shaft? making for a thicker tube essentially.
or are you going for the c reinforcers?

these look alot beefier but depends what you're looking for i guess. i just googled D30 truss and got those.

I'm sure it'd help if you're looking for cheap reinforcement.

I did basically the same thing with a piece of scrap 2x4x.25 tubing for free.

Id make a real truss. Sure its not as easy, but it will actually strengthen the housing. Much more than that piece of plate anyway. And also it wont say rustys on it!

Rustys used to make a d30 truss I believe, my local shop is a vendor for rustys and they all have rustys front truss's but i dont see em on their sight anymore, just rear truss's. I dont see that little plate doing much, sure itll help, but it will only do so much.

Hey good on ya! They also have one for my C8.25 rear. Shipped it will run about 400, lot better than a new axle...or two.
