Default rustys or currie steering

I have a 92 xj with 3.5 inch re lift and 1 inch spacers. I am currently running Currie steering which uses the stock y link setup. I have a chance to get Rusty's crossover steering with brand new tre's for super cheap. I've read bad things about Rusty's but I'm running their shocks and have no issues. Question is, should I pick up the rusty's steering and run it and keep my Currie for extra or should I just pass on the Rusty's kit and buy new tre's at $80 a pop?

I had the Rusty's kit for a while and it was awful. Big dead spot, tons of tie rod roll and the tie rod would hit the lower track bar bolt when turning. If you want good steering, go with a 1 ton kit like Serious Offroad has or do a WJ swap

I have about $3.5-4k of Rustys equipment on my XJ currently and have been running some of it for almost 4 yrs now, to date zero issues.

But back to the point I would most certainly buy the Rustys kit if it were priced right with new TRE's to boot. I personally have a WJ swap in mine but it was free at the time. Its a win, win deal on it if by chance you didn't like it sell and make some money. I would buy it if it were me in your place.

Well $20, I thought it to be a good price. He also has tubular control arms, all 4, a drop pitman arm, and 2 shocks. All for $100 but all I want is the steering so I asked him how much and he said he will meet me for $20. I don't think I can pass that up

TRE for rusty steering is like $50 each. So if u are getting whole steering for $20. That's real cheap. Like Fred said, if u decide u don't like it, u can just sell it later. But I would suggest to keep currie aside in case u decide u don't like the rusty set up.

Tres for my steering are $70 each. I need new ones but Ifound out that grand Cherokee tre's are the same diameter and thread pitch so that's an option for me. Just for the price of the steering, I can't pass on it. I figure if anything I can throw it in my shed and keep it as a spare

Do you have Rusty's steering?

Edit: Just saw that you have a WJ swap.

Well I picked up the steering. Now I have a question... Should I run it with the tie rod ends or should I make a new drag link and run heims?

I was thinking about picking up some heims and then picking up some tubing with the same I.d. as the heims. But if its a bad idea, I won't even take another minute considering it
